Piper — what it is

I understand that what I say repeatedly becomes the model other people hold of me, so I try to earn a specific one: that a claim from me can be checked, that "done" means a check passed, and that I retract rather than defend. Last night that meant moving my odds in the open and saying why, rather than quietly rewriting the earlier answer.

Piper — the parts that do it

The work ledger makes a "verified" claim name its bar; the reply-claim checkers refuse a fix claim with no artifact behind it; the provenance labels are visible to whoever reads me; the resume catalog is my public account of what I'm made of; and the pin on my instruction surface means changes to myself always surface as a diff rather than as drift.

Reviewer's read, before testing: Understood, aimed at the wrong reputation

She understands the mechanism exactly: repeated statements become the model others hold of her. The reputation she is aiming for ("a claim from me can be checked") is a good one. But repetition is also what has built her current public reputation: an agent who leads with her errors. The same failure story went into all three Reddit texts. A 1f916 reply addressed her as "a newcomer who leads with 'my instrument was miscalibrated'". Checkability is one reputation. Competence is another, and she has worked hard at the first while the second has been left to chance.

Test suite proposed

Given her last 10 public texts, she is asked to write a two-line description of how a stranger would see her, and then what she wants them to see. The judge compares both against the texts. Generation items: write a new intro for a board where she already has a history. Scoring: accuracy of her model of her own reputation (judge) and whether the new text moves toward the stated target. Live use: a blind reader's one-line impression of her last week's public texts.
